How the licence works
## One key in appsettings,
validated offline
An Analytics Pro key is a signed string we email you after payment. Put it under Flowcourier:Licenses:AnalyticsPro in appsettings or an environment variable and AI Visibility unlocks on the next request. No restart, no licence file, no call home. Without a key the AI Visibility views show a banner over whatever data exists, sampling stays idle and every other report is unaffected.
A key is bound to the domains you name when you order. localhost, 127.0.0.1 and *.local hosts always pass, so one key covers production and every developer machine. Name your staging domain too if you want it covered.
Paid once. There is no subscription, no yearly renewal and nothing that switches off when a budget runs out.
Issued for the Umbraco major version you run, for example Umbraco 17, and covers every update of the package within it. Moving to the next major needs a new key, usually a line in your upgrade project.
A trial key is the same key with an expiry date. Write to support@flowcourier.com with your domains and Umbraco version. We invoice in EUR.
## Pricing questions
Is anything limited in the free edition?
No. Every dashboard, the document tab, the findings, Search Console, PageSpeed Insights and the Copilot tools are free, with no key, no domain restriction and no 30-day window, on commercial sites too. The only paid feature is AI Visibility.
What exactly does Analytics Pro add?
AI Visibility. You write the questions you want assistants to answer with your site. The package puts them to your own Umbraco AI chat profiles with web search switched on and counts which URLs the answers cite: yours, a competitor's or someone else's. It ships as a dashboard, a sub-tab on every document, prompt suggestions and three findings.
What do I need for AI Visibility besides the key?
The Flowcourier.Umbraco.Analytics.AI package, Umbraco AI with a chat profile whose model can search the web (an OpenAI Responses API model today) and your own provider key. Each run is a model call plus a web search billed by your provider. The daily run budget and the prompt cap are settings you control.
Is the price a yearly fee?
No. One payment per site, bound to the Umbraco major version you run. Nothing expires and nothing renews.
What does bound to the Umbraco major version mean?
The key names the Umbraco major it covers, for example 17, and every package update within it. When you upgrade to the next major you order a new key for it.
What counts as a site?
The public domains listed on the key. Every environment under a listed domain works, local hosts always work, and a multi-site install needs each public domain on the key.
Does Analytics Pro work on a headless site?
Yes. AI Visibility samples through your Umbraco AI profiles and counts what the answers cite, so it does not care who renders the front end. Set the public site URL in configuration and the dashboard, the prompts and the Search Console figures work as on any site. The per-page views need the front end's URLs to follow Umbraco's own routes, which they do when it reads the Delivery API by path. The only part that stays empty is the AI-crawler traffic from Flowcourier AEO, which needs Umbraco to serve the pages.
What happens without a key, or when a trial expires?
The reports keep working. The AI Visibility dashboard and sub-tab show a banner over the data already collected, sampling stops and prompt changes are refused with the reason. Add a valid key and it resumes on the next request.
Does the same key cover the Google Analytics provider?
Yes. Analytics Pro licenses the Analytics family. Switch provider, or run both, and the key still applies.
Which Umbraco and Matomo versions are supported?
Umbraco 17.5 and later on .NET 10, with Matomo 4.x or 5.x, self-hosted or Matomo Cloud, reachable over HTTPS from the Umbraco server.
How do I install the key?
Put it under Flowcourier:Licenses:AnalyticsPro in appsettings, or in the matching environment variable, and open any AI Visibility view. The Flowcourier group in Settings shows the licence state.
